Adding to The Orchard.
It's going to be difficult to get the plum I really love, a European Prune Plum, but these will do for now. Bruce and Methley Plums, and Bing and Black Tartarian Cherries. Cherries are my favorite fruit.
Now we are plotting out the orchard. We decided to section off the edge of the horse pasture, where they don't do a lot of eating anyhow and it's been getting a bit of fertilizer for the last couple of years.
Organizing some seeds.
We've planted the tomatoes, mulched them with newspaper held down by some of the plenteous rocks in our soil, and have the boards laid down with which we'll use to build the tomato cage.
Just because it looks cool.
Leave the camera laying down and you end up with self-portraits. Michael noticing the blood vessels on his arms getting visible.
And the dog.
