I've decided to purchase a used table and chair set for 20 dollars.
Do I need a 41.5 inch round table with 12 inch extension, and four chairs to go with it?
Nope. But it's in great shape. Maybe someone else can use it, and I've a mind to finish it in a creative manner. I've got a few ideas I've been rolling about in my head.
Now, if only a garage would appear suddenly. This project will be taking place in my kitchen, likely.
I'd love any input, if you've seen anything interesting. Maybe I can embed that brass pitcher and vase set I tried to sell...
So far, I'm not good at this. But there is always tomorrow!

What a deal, we're looking for a smaller table, but more along the lines of a drop leaf, with a couple of leaves for company entertaining.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what you're looking to do, but I tend to like milk paint with manybe a layer of crackle between layers, then dust off the edges for an antique appearance( for those of us who can't afford the real antique*wink* Some chair pads like maybe braided or woven design. Just my $.02 :o)

Beautiful idea, Kelle!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking along those same lines.... Since my fondest idea of embedding doilies onto the top with polyurethane will just be too difficult to accomplish without a garage and practice, I think I'll go with a Shabby Chic reproduction. Probably some painted flowers across the top of the table and chair seats.
